Amorelle and Daniel’s downtown Seattle engagement session was the perfect mix of classic Seattle architecture, modern city energy, and timeless film photography. Before their session, we scouted locations throughout the city to create a collection of images that felt personal, editorial, and effortless.
We began at the Fairmont Olympic Hotel, where the elegant architecture and historic interiors gave their photos a sophisticated, romantic backdrop. From there, we made our way through downtown Seattle, stopping at Purple Café and Wine Bar for a more intimate and relaxed setting. The cozy atmosphere added a completely different feel to their gallery while still fitting beautifully with the overall aesthetic. One of our favorite parts of this downtown Seattle engagement session was a rooftop location we scouted in advance specifically for Amorelle and Daniel. With sweeping city views and an unmistakably Seattle backdrop, it gave us the perfect opportunity to create something a little more unexpected. We photographed their session on both color and black and white film, which added beautiful variety and depth to their final gallery. The combination of timeless black and white frames, rich color, and thoughtfully chosen locations made this downtown Seattle engagement session feel incredibly intentional from beginning to end.
