Marin wanted to capture her photos in two locations. For her maternity photoshoot in Seattle we used my natural light studio in Capitol Hill. She picked out a cute casual jeans and white top outfit to show off her baby bump. She also had her mom join the photoshoot to get some sweet mom and daughter maternity photos. I thought this was the sweetest idea ! Her next outfit for this location was a long sleek black tight fitting dress. Fitted dresses work so well for maternity photos because it shows off your bump without you needing to use your hands and literally point to it lol. This free’s you up for different poses than you would normally expect in a maternity shoot. Later she brought baby boy to the same two locations for his Newborn photos. To see another example of a maternity shoot done at the studio check out Jackie’s Maternity Shoot.
Although it was still sort of cold outside, the sun had made an appearance. This meant we could head to the beach which is great because Marin had envisioned a barefoot jeans look on the beach vibe for her Maternity Photoshoot Seattle. We went north a little to Edmonds beach actually. We used the beautiful driftwood as a natural backdrop and it complimented her soft white sweater so nicely. Even though it was cold, Marin agreed to dip her feet in the water for some photos. Lets face it, that usually feels good when you’re super pregnant and your hotter than usual.
So a few weeks after this photoshoot Marin had her baby boy ( She named him Watson )! And they used the same two locations which I thought was so sweet ! Scroll to the bottom to see those sweet newborn photos.
