For these seattle at home engagement photos, I tried out a new method of shooting called the Loom method. It involves no direction from the photographer but instead relies on pre planned scenes that the couple can act out. But the scenes are things the couple would normally do in their real life. So they chat with a stylist about what it might look like to spend a day together at home and then the stylist helps plan out details, locations in the home with the best light etc. Then I just follow them around and capture them being them. It may feel a little weird at first but its the best way to get totally natural images of the two of you. If this sounds like something your interested in let me know 🙂 Fuji 400h film processed by Photovision Prints
Korryn and Kyle’s engagement session was the epitome of intimacy and warmth, captured in the comfort of their Queen Anne apartment nestled in the heart of Seattle. I had the privilege of documenting their love story on film — raw, real, and beautifully candid. This wasn’t a shoot about posing or perfection, but about presence: two people deeply connected, sharing their everyday moments.
This Seattle at home Engagement session unfolded slowly, like a Sunday morning. We started in their living room, where they curled up on the couch with glasses of red wine, the soft hum of a record player setting the mood. Light streamed through the windows, bouncing off wood floors and casting dreamy shadows as they laughed, clinked glasses, and stole glances that said everything without words.
Later, we stepped onto their balcony, where a simple cheese platter became a quiet celebration. With the Seattle skyline peeking through the trees and the crisp Pacific Northwest air wrapping around us, Korryn and Kyle shared bites, stories, and sips of wine like they do on any regular evening — only this time, the moment was stitched into memory on 35mm film.
These Seattle at home engagement photos capture more than just a milestone. They reflect the life Korryn and Kyle are building together. One filled with music, warmth, and authenticity. Shooting on film added a timeless, grainy texture that felt just right for a couple so grounded in who they are. Their home, their love, and their shared quiet joy made for a session that felt less like photography and more like witnessing something truly special.
In an age of curated perfection, this shoot was a gentle reminder: the real magic is in the everyday moments.
