Seattle Rooftop Wedding Photos

Mary & Luis Seattle Rooftop Wedding Photos: Mary & Luis eloped at the Seattle courthouse in 2020. They had their first look on top of their condo building in Downtown Seattle overlooking the puget sound and the cityscape below. It was one of the best views for seattle rooftop wedding photos I have seen ! Their first look was emotional and sweet and I stepped back and captured it all unfold. After that we did some more posed portraits and then headed over towards the Courthouse for their outside ceremony with a judge. Since it was 2020 there was no indoor options fro courthouse weddings. It was fall so the background of foliage and the crisp air made it even that much more beautiful. We also did some black and white portraits at my capiotl hill studio as well as some more outdoor wedding portraits at Volunteer Park.

In the fall of 2020, amid the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, Mary and Luis held a heartfelt outdoor wedding ceremony near the Seattle courthouse. With safety and love guiding their plans, they exchanged vows in front of a small, intimate group of close friends and family. A local judge officiated the ceremony, standing beneath the crisp autumn sky as golden leaves fluttered around the gathering. Though the world felt uncertain, their love brought a sense of joy and stability, proving that even during difficult times, meaningful moments could still shine through.

Despite the limitations of the pandemic, Mary and Luis made the day uniquely their own, embracing the simplicity and intimacy that came with a smaller celebration. Guests wore masks and maintained distance, yet the warmth of the occasion was undeniable. The couple stood surrounded by love, with the Seattle skyline quietly witnessing their union in the background. Instead of a traditional reception, they shared heartfelt toasts and threw rice in the air creating memories that were no less special for their modest scale. The day was a beautiful reminder that love, at its core, needs very little to thrive—just two people, a promise, and the support of those who matter most.
