Jessica and David’s wedding at The Loft at Russell’s in Bothell, WA was a beautiful blend of love, faith, and family. As a photographer, it’s days like this that remind me why I love what I do. Capturing real emotion, meaningful moments, and the beginning of a new chapter.
From the moment I arrived, I could feel how much intention and heart went into every part of their day. The Loft at Russell’s itself, with its dramatic high ceilings and exposed wooden beams, created a warm, rustic atmosphere that perfectly matched their style. Because the natural light was limited in the ceremony space, we used off-camera flash to balance the exposure. Bringing out the rich textures of the wood without losing the soft emotion on everyone’s faces. That lighting choice made a huge difference, and it allowed us to truly highlight the beauty of both the space and the moment.
Throughout the ceremony, it was clear how important their faith in God was to them. Every word, every vow, and every prayer pointed back to Him. Jessica and David made their ceremony deeply personal and spiritual, which brought such a peaceful, grounded energy to the whole day.
What made this wedding especially moving was how they weren’t just coming together as a couple—they were merging their families. Both Jessica and David are parents, and they made it a point to include their children in heartfelt, intentional ways. You could see how much love and respect they have for one another’s kids, and how committed they are to creating a unified, supportive home.
From quiet moments during the first look, to joyful tears during the ceremony, to laughter echoing under the high barn loft ceiling at the reception—it was a day full of meaning.
Jessica and David’s The Loft at Russell’s wedding was not only a celebration of their love, but a powerful expression of faith, family, and future. I feel so honored to have witnessed it, and even more honored to have documented it. This one will stay with me for a long time.
