There is nothing more miraculous and more real than welcoming your baby into the world. It is the hardest work you will ever do as a woman and it deserves to be documented. You go into such a blur of labor la la land that you hardly remember anything later and its great to be able to look back on your babies first (or 0) birthday and also capture those first moments when they come into the world. Because lets face it these are the minutes (and hours) that change your life forever.
Amy labored for so long ! She was a true warrior. Almost 50 hours I believe is how long she labored. She started off at home and was planning on having a home birth. After laboring for over 40 something hours and no progress she had to be moved to hospital to help her along. Her husband and her mother where her birthing team and support and they did such a great job helping her and keeping her comfortable. Its so amazing to watch a family pull together like this and be there for each other. Her midwifery team was also amazing. After a long couple of days Francis was finally born at Swedish Hospital in First Hill. Here is the day Amy & Steve’s lives were changed forever. Welcome to the world sweet baby boy !
