Alex and Lauren’s Trinity Tree Farm barn wedding was one of those days that lives with you long after the last sparkler fizzles out. Nestled in the lush hills of Issaquah, Washington. Their celebration was filled with joyful emotion, heartfelt moments, and a kind of effortless beauty that can only come from two people deeply in love.
From the moment I arrived at the Trinity Tree Farm barn, I knew this would be a wedding to remember. The venue’s rustic barn, surrounded by towering evergreens and expansive lawns, offered a perfect mix of charm and Pacific Northwest magic. As a photographer who shoots on both 35mm and 120mm film, I was thrilled by the soft natural light filtering through the trees and the warm textures of the wooden barn. I even brought along my trusty Holga camera for some dreamy, imperfect frames. Because sometimes the beauty is in the blur.
Before guests arrived, Alex and Lauren shared a private first look under the trees. The moment was quiet, genuine, and incredibly moving. Lauren’s smile when she saw Alex said everything, and his reaction was pure awe. Capturing it on medium format film felt like bottling up the heart of the day.
As the ceremony wrapped up, guests spilled onto the lawn. Next were cocktails, cornhole, and giant jenga. Laughter echoed through the trees, and the sun dipped low behind the evergreens, casting golden light across the field. This Issaquah wedding felt like a summer evening straight out of a nostalgic postcard.
Then came one of the most emotional moments of the night. Lauren’s first dance with her father. The entire room stilled as they danced. Lauren’s tears, her father’s proud smile. It was impossible not to get caught up in it. I found myself snapping each frame carefully, knowing this was a once-in-a-lifetime memory they’d want to hold on to forever.
In contrast to the tenderness, the night quickly gave way to high energy as the barn lit up with one of the most epic dance parties I’ve seen. From heartfelt to hilarious, the dance floor was a rollercoaster of moments. Twirls, lifts, and one guest absolutely owning the limbo. The film rolls I developed from the reception were pure gold.
In conclusion, Alex and Lauren’s Trinity Tree Farm barn wedding wasn’t just beautiful—it was heartfelt, full of laughter, and wrapped in real, raw emotion. It was everything I love about being a wedding photographer. Being able to document their day on film made it all the more special, preserving each honest, vibrant moment exactly as it unfolded.
