The Woodmark Hotel is one of the venues we photograph the most at. We love the location and the way the staff handle every wedding with such professionalism and attention to detail. When Edith and Brian reached out to us about their fall wedding at the Woodmark we knew it was going to be a great fit for them. Read on to see some tips for getting the best photos at this venue as well as the Seattle Wedding Vendors that made the day possible.
Since we have photographed so many weddings at the Woodmark we can give a few pointers. If your wedding is in the summer you will need a large shaded spot for your group photos. We love utilizing the greenery area off to the right of the hotel. We also love using the dock since most couples want that waterfront view to be front and center in their wedding photos. It can be bright on sunny days but dont worry we will position you in a way that you wont be squinting.
The Woodmark has the best sunsets in the Seattle area and all of your guests will surely head out to the lawn for sunset selfies. This is also a great time to have your wedding photographers get golden hour photos of the two of you. Even if you only slip away for 10 minutes, thats enough to create some magic. If your planning your own Woodmark Hotel Kirkland Wedding be sure to check out more of our weddings from this stunning venue. Here is a colorful summer wedding we captured there Cori & Brian’s Woodmark Wedding.
One of our favorite parts of Woodmark Hotel weddings is the romantic boat ride around lake Washington. It’s a chance for the bride and groom to be alone for a few moments and enjoy some appetizers and champagne. I usually follow along but I remain a fly on the wall and shoot a few candids here and there while prioritizing your experience.
